Associate Professor Margaret Bearman will join CRADLE on 13 February 2017

CRADLE is pleased to announce that Margaret Bearman will join the team as Associate Professor (Research). Margaret will take up her position on 13 February 2017 and will work exclusively within a research program of assessment and digital learning, with an emphasis on digital learning, analytics and data, including research associated with, and informing: the Comprehensive Analytics Project; open learning platform; Cloud Campus; and research associated with digital credentialing and assessment methods.

Margaret has recently completed her role as Associate Professor, Director of Research in the Health Professions Education and Educational Research (HealthPEER) Team, within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University. Over the course of her career in health professional and higher education, Margaret has written over 70 publications and received over $7.5 million in research and development funding. Her papers have appeared in leading health professional education journals including Academic Medicine, Medical Education and Advances in Health Sciences Education.

Margaret has formally been recognised for her work as an educator and researcher, including awards from the Australian Office of Teaching and Learning and Simulation Australasia. Her research interests include assessment and feedback, simulation and educational technologies, and educational workforce development. Her methodological expertise includes quantitative and qualitative research designs, as well as evidence synthesis.
