CRADLE Co-Director Alfred Deakin Professor David Boud has again been recognised as the top Australian researcher in three field areas:

  • Education
  • Higher Education
  • Academic and Psychological Testing

The achievements of Australia’s top researchers are celebrated in The Australian’s Research Magazine 2024. The magazine reports on the top researchers and institutions in 250 fields of research to honour our nation’s academics and their outstanding endeavours.

Congratulations go to CRADLE Co-Director Alfred Deakin Professor David Boud who has, for the fifth year running, been recognised as the top Australian researcher in Higher Education research. David is also the leading Australian researcher in Education and Academic and Psychological Testing for the fourth year in a row. See page 36 of the report for more details.

The Australian’s Research Magazine uses the number of citations for papers published in the top 20 journals in each field over the past five years to determine the top researcher and top research institution in each field of research. The citation metrics for David significantly contribute to Deakin’s position as a global leader in the fields of Higher Education and Education research. This is a significant indicator of CRADLE’s research impact and contribution in these areas.

Alfred Deakin Professor David Boud is Co-Director of Deakin’s Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE). He has been involved in research and teaching development in adult, higher and professional education for over 30 years and has contributed extensively to the literature.
