4 October 2016
On 28 September, 2016, CRADLE hosted its first Research Collaborative Event, ‘Opportunities and Networking with CRADLE’. The event was attended by over 20 Deakin staff representing all Faculties, and a range of different disciplines. CRADLE’s Director, Professor David Boud, opened the morning’s proceedings and gave the keynote address, ‘What’s Hot in Assessment?’, before members of the CRADLE team led discussions on research vs. evaluation, and collaborative opportunities. An overview of CRADLE’s Research Fellow program was also provided by the inaugural Research Fellow, Dr. Jaclyn Broadbent.
The event received highly positive feedback from attendees, with the sessions rated from good to excellent. Attendees valued the emphasis on the scholarship of teaching, and the presentation of evaluation and research topics. Attendees also expressed keen interest in pursuing collaborative research project activities, both during and after the event.
