Students enjoy Geelong Taste Trail
During July, two groups of international students enjoyed a fun day out exploring the Geelong region and all it has to offer. First stop was Moorabool Valley Chocolate in Batesford, where everyone indulged in a delicious hot chocolate made from real couverture chocolate and cocoa. A special treat was watching the chocolatiers making custom-made chocolates.
The next stop was the Federal Mills in North Geelong, a fascinating piece of Geelong history. The highlight was the beautiful 1915 Restaurant, located inside a 100-year-old red brick boiler house, once used to power the region’s largest woollen mills. Students enjoyed a mocktail or cocktail, accompanied by tasting plates of locally sourced foods.

Buckley Waterfalls Cultural Experience: 5 & 7 September
Enjoy an afternoon visiting Buckley Falls. This pristine and tranquil riverside walk has stunning waterfall views of Buckley Falls and the Barwon River. We’ll do a range of fun activities to get to know each other. You’ll also learn about the environmental significance of this area and hear local historical stories about the Indigenous owners of the land and William Buckley, whom the falls were named after. You’ll see the Fyansford Paper Mill from across the river and learn how it is now a thriving winery and restaurant – a great way to explore nature and meet new friends!
