Travel to the Indo-Pacific with a study grant of up to $3500!

Thinking about travelling overseas during the inter-trimester break? Your dream can become a reality with help of Deakin Abroad and a New Colombo Plan (NCP) grant.

This federal government scholarship program for undergraduate students focuses on the Indo-Pacific and is designed to help you experience the language and culture in a region that has a growing relationship with Australia.

Units are relevant to students from all disciplines and you’ll earn credit towards your degree!

Apply for one of the following incredible programs and you’ll be jetting away this June/July with a grant of $3000–$3500. Make sure you read the relevant information for your chosen program carefully, as costs, eligibility requirements and other essential details may differ.

Sophia University Summer Session: Tokyo

Delve into East Asian culture and contemporary social issues like Japanese modern history and popular culture. The East Asian Studies program at Sophia University includes several cultural events and excursions – you might visit a Kabuki theatre or experience a Wadaiko drumming workshop.

GEM Trailblazer Summer Program: Singapore

Singapore is the heart of this fast-developing region and a springboard to explore the many cultures and languages in neighbouring countries. The Venturing into Entrepreneurship program at Nanyang Technological University will give you fundamental entrepreneurship skills, business acumen and stamina to build and grow businesses.

Yonsei International Summer School: Seoul

The YISS program includes courses from the arts, culture and humanities while also offering cutting-edge classes in management and economics, global issues, history, social sciences, and science and technology.
