Be a part of Respect at Uni Week: you could win a $250 gift card in our art competition!
‘Respect’ is a word we hear a lot and it’s one of Deakin’s core values. But what does it really mean and how do we demonstrate it every day?
Be a part of Respect at Uni Week
Our communities should be safe and free from violence. That’s why Victorian universities annually join forces for the Respect at Uni Week, which this year runs from Monday 17 to Friday 21 March. For 2025, we’re promoting the importance of respect, inclusion, and the prevention of gender-based violence and sexual harm in our campuses, online spaces, and broader communities.
Check out our dedicated Respect at Uni Week webpage to see all the ways you can get involved!

- Our health and wellbeing services, which include counselling, medical, disability support and spiritual wellbeing.
There are also external support services, including 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732), which provides 24/7 information, counselling and support for people affected by family violence and sexual harm. In an emergency, always call Victoria Police on Triple Zero (000).
