Need to brush up on your maths? Work through Deakin’s new Foundation Maths Program at your own pace
Are you undertaking any units in Trimester 3 or beyond in which you’ll need to unpack mathematical or statistical concepts? Do you lack confidence when it comes to tackling maths subjects?
If so, we encourage you to take a look at the new Foundation Maths Program which contains a module for Numeracy and one for Statistics.
Why should I access the new modules in this program?
These modules have been designed to help you revise, consolidate and extend your foundational knowledge across a wide range of units that involve maths and statistics. As such, you can access the modules before commencing a unit or at any stage of your enrolment to help you master the skills you’ll need to succeed in your subjects.
What do the new modules include?
The Numeracy and Statistics modules have each been created by Deakin’s Maths Mentors and Peer Support Services staff.
The maths content has been developed in collaboration with lecturers and other faculty staff, and uses information and feedback gathered from Maths Mentors drop-in sessions to ensure it is relevant to your needs and course outcomes.
Both modules are developmental, so you can work sequentially through them at your own pace or choose to focus on specific areas of concern. Each module also includes practical exercises to test and solidify your understanding of the concepts discussed.

You can self-register on Cloud Deakin to access the Foundation Maths Program now.
Stay tuned as several other modules in this Foundation Maths Program are currently in development, with the launch of an Algebra module planned for Trimester 1, 2022.
