Work towards real change: join the 2021 Humanitarian Leadership Conference
The people we don’t see. The voices we don’t hear. Who are the real humanitarians?
As we contend with an ongoing climate crisis, the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, and a renewed global focus on equality and justice for all people, the consequences of inaction have never been more real or more dangerous.
Help us reimagine the future
The Centre for Humanitarian Leadership’s 2021 Humanitarian Leadership Conference will interrogate what a genuinely transformed humanitarian ecosystem can look like.
We’ll consider the actors involved, ways of working, and the very definition of what constitutes a humanitarian crisis. We’ll also explore where change is needed, with a focus on what economic, environmental and political justice may look like for affected communities, local organisations, the business community and national governments.
This immersive online event – featuring two days of presentations, interactive workshops and panel discussions – will challenge traditional humanitarian systems and related perceptions, with discussions centred on the following themes:
- Decolonising the humanitarian ecosystem
- Leadership in a world of upheaval and crisis
- Transformative ways of working
- The political economy of aid and solidarity.
