What is the role of DUSA at Deakin?
DUSA is directed by a board of students and exists to give students a voice.

Why should I join or renew my DUSA membership in 2021?
- Your membership enables important student support services. Our advocacy, legal and welfare services can offer you support and advice on a range of personal and academic matters. Your membership helps ensure these free and confidential services remain available for all students to access. Any time you need it, DUSA is here to help you.
- You’ll receive perks and discounts. We have a range of DUSA memberships which will provide you access to our awesome merchandise and discounts, plus discounts to our short courses, trips and tours.
- We’ll help you make friends and expand your boundaries. Whether you want to learn a new sport, gain a qualification, carve up the dance floor at one of our OWeek parties or set off on an exciting adventure across Victoria, there really is something for everyone at DUSA! DUSA hosts a range of member-only online trivia events, plus online and face-to-face social catch-ups, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with your fellow students in fun and meaningful ways.
- We’ll give you a platform to give back to your community. We encourage Deakin students to apply for positions on the Student Council, and strive to empower other students to create meaningful social and environmental change within their campus and local community.
