artphones in the second volume of Making Things International, edited by Mark B Salter and out now on University of Minnesota Press.
Pete’s contribution looks at the smartphone as an assemblage of spectacle and control, by looking at the subjective and objective relations we see by looking critically at how signals intelligence practice is applied to ordinary, everyday patterns of smartphone use – at the precise moment where smartphones have become a newly ubiquitous form of pervasive computing.
