Dr Diarmaid Harkin has won the British Society of Criminology Policing Network Joint-Author Prize 2017 for his paper with Dr Kath Murray (SCCJR), ‘Policing in Cool and Hot Climates: Legitimacy, Power and the Rise and Fall of Mass Stop and Search in Scotland’. The paper was published in the British Journal of Criminology.
