@DeakinCrim are pleased to announce the establishment of a cross-faculty (@DeakinArtsEd @DeakinHealth @DeakinLaw) research Hub: Deakin Research into Violence Against Women @DRVAW_AU, Co-convened by @DrDanielleTyson, @MaryIliadis & @DrLataSatyen

The DRVAW Hub is being Co-convened by Dr Danielle Tyson (ArtsEd), Dr Mary Iliadis (ArtsEd) and Dr Lata Satyen (Health), and Co-faciliated by Professor Marilyn McMahon (Law), Professor John Toumbourou (Health) and Dr Diarmaid Harkin (ArtsEd). Its purpose  is to create a network that will distinguish and showcase Deakin’s combined research expertise in the area of violence against women (gendered violence; intimate partner violence; family violence). The DRVAW Hub will be officially launched at its first workshop on examining ‘Cultural Factors that Influence Family Violence and Help-Seeking Behaviours’, led by Dr Lata Satyen on Tuesday 20th October 12:00-1:00pm. The workshop is open to members external to Deakin and you can register your attendance via this link.
