Congratulations to Dr Ian Warren and Dr Monique Mann for being awarded a grant from the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network
Dr Ian Warren, Dr Monique Mann (soon to be commencing at Deakin University) and the Consumer Policy Research Centre have been awarded a grant from the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) to develop a privacy ratings system for the Internet of Things (IoT). The aim is to analyse and develop a simplified method of communicating IoT privacy policies, and related practices of collecting, storing and using personal information through smart devices, in consultation with regulators, industry representatives and consumers.
