Study with CRADLE! – Scholarship Opportunity – closes 1 May 2021
19 April 2021
The Faculty of Arts and Education’s May scholarship round is now open. This opportunity includes specific topics for research with CRADLE as part of their initiative. Applications are being considered which align with the research priorities of CRADLE, as well as those of REDI. The link to the suggested research projects for Higher Degree Research students is here. Whilst CRADLE has a variety of possible topics for PhD students, the CRADLE projects included are:
- Learning to work in a digitally-mediated world – Professor Margaret Bearman
Workplaces are increasingly mediated by big data, analytics and artificial intelligence. This has implications for universities and for learning-on-the-job. How do learners, teachers and institutions navigate a world with new kinds of knowledge practices?
- Developing evaluative judgement in university courses – Professor David Boud
How can learners develop the ability to make judgements about their own learning? How can it be fostered in different contexts? How does it develop over time?
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity you must submit the Expression of Interest Form to [email protected] by 1 May 2021 however it is strongly encouraged that you contact the academics named in the research projects to talk about you application first. If you have any questions relating to the process please contact Dr Trace Ollis, Higher Degree Research Coordinator, School of Education T: 52271489 E: [email protected]
