Relationship Management in the Arts and Cultural Sector: Has COVID changed the rules of engagement?

Relationship management is all about engaging hearts and minds. It’s a vital activity for most, if not all, arts and cultural organisations. But how does this happen when you are unable to meet face-to-face and there are no exhibitions, performances, or activities to pique someone’s interest or ignite their passion?
Over COVID, some arts organisations experienced a renewed connection with supporters, while others struggled to find ways to keep the connections going. And building new relationships in this environment was especially difficult. Zoom meetings are probably not an ideal environment for communicating the warmth and urgency that usually accompanies the presentation of a case for support.
So, what have we learned about relationship management in the past 2 years? Has the much-touted ‘digital pivot’ change the rules of engagement with supporters?
Our panellists have had a wild ride coping with multiple cancelations and delays. And they have much to share about how to keep your organisation’s supporters connected and feeling loved.
Our speakers will discuss the challenges their organisations have faced in maintaining or developing relationships; and what they’ve learned through the experience. Don’t miss it!
