International students, don’t miss this!
In a visit to GMHBA Stadium, you’ll learn from elite Australian Rules players from both the men’s (AFL) and women’s (AFLW) competitions! During the clinic, you’ll:
- watch a presentation on AFL to learn more about its history and rules
- meet AFLW players
- take part in drills with some of the AFLW team
- watch AFL players training from a great vantage point inside GMHBA Stadium
- enjoy a free morning tea.
You’ll also score a double pass to bring a friend or family member to see the Geelong men’s team take on Fremantle at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 29 July!
When: Friday 28 July, 10.30am to 12.30pm
Where: GMHBA Stadium – we’ll meet at the Charles & Co Cafe. Try to arrive a few minutes early so you can find the group and be ready to start the tour!
Register now – there are only 40 spots available for international students and this event will book out quickly!
When you register, you’ll find more information about how to get to GMHBA Stadium from Geelong and Melbourne, including a Deakin-chartered bus from both Waurn Ponds and Waterfront campuses, as well as public transport options. While we know it’s further to travel, Burwood-based international students are also very welcome to attend!
