Our chaplains can help you find solace and meaning as we start the new year
How are you enjoying the study period so far? As we return from the intra-trimester break, we encourage you to reach out for academic support if you need it.
Beyond study requirements, a new year can bring mixed feelings for many of us. It is a time when we may be reflecting on the past 12 months, our relationships and our wider goals. Whether you’re going through something difficult, you’re pondering your direction for 2025 or you just need a friendly ear – we encourage you to contact Deakin’s multifaith chaplains, who are here to offer support and advice.
What do chaplains do?
Chaplains are people of faith, both ordained and non-ordained, who provide spiritual care in non-religious settings, but you don’t even have to be religious to meet with a chaplain – people from all walks of life are welcome.
Any discussions you have with a chaplain will be non-judgemental and confidential. Talking to someone friendly and independent can provide solace in a tough time and may offer you an impartial perspective on anything you’d like to discuss. Our chaplains can also help you understand a range of different spiritual practices, including mindfulness and meditation.
Meet our chaplains below and get in touch – they’d love to hear from you!
