Congratulations to the Trimester 1 winning teams
For more of an idea on what the Bowater Challenge is all about, here’s a summary and the winners of the Trimester 1 postgraduate challenge.
The theme was ‘Optimising Climate Comfort at Bounce Inc. locations to enhance customer satisfaction while achieving cost efficiencies and sustainability goals’. Student teams first attended a briefing session where the challenge was explained, followed by the online preliminary round.
Four teams qualified for the finals and were appointed an academic mentor to support them with their presentations and research. Students and staff attended a site visit hosted by Matt Holman, National Operations Manager of Bounce Inc, at the Blackburn Centre, where they had a Q&A session and enjoyed the fun features in the centre. At the finals, the four teams presented their ultimate solution in front of judges and the audience.
