2024 Respect and Wellbeing Student Survey branding

29 April 2024

Do you feel respected at uni? Share your experience and you could win a $100 gift card!

Deakin is inviting all students to participate in this year’s Respect and Wellbeing Student Survey.

This University-wide online survey will help improve students’ experience of respect and wellbeing at Deakin and highlight areas for improvement. This confidential and voluntary survey should take around 3–5 minutes to complete. The survey includes questions about experiences of stress, mental health, respect, inclusion and awareness of support and reporting services.

How to complete the survey

On Monday 29 April 2024, every current student will receive an email from Deakin Qualtrics Research, inviting students to participate in the survey, which is open for two weeks (closes Friday 10 May 2024 at 5pm). Make sure to check your Deakin email to find the link to participate.

Why you should have your say

We know your time and feedback is valuable, so to say thanks we’re giving away five $100 Coles Myer gift cards to participants. To be eligible to win the gift card, all you need to do is opt in to the prize draw when prompted. Read the competition terms and conditions below. The survey is anonymous, and any contact information provided to enter the prize draw will be stored separately from your survey responses.

Please note that your participation in the survey is completely voluntary and confidential. The survey is managed by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion division and conducted by Deakin’s Institutional Research and Surveys Team who have complete oversight of the survey, including adherence to strict data protocols, which includes confidentiality.

To protect participant anonymity, results will be reported in a summarised form and no information which identifies you or any other participant will be disclosed in the survey reports. De-identifiable data will be used to guide Deakin’s Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy and Respect and Sexual Harm Prevention Plan, feedback provided to student support, and report services giving student voice to areas for improvement. De-identifiable reports will be shared with the student population after the survey closes.
