Business students: help make Deakin more sustainable
We’re excited to announce Deakin Business School is participating in the Positive Impact Rating this year. This is the first time you’ll have the opportunity to evaluate your school on its positive impact on society.
Wouldn’t it be great to have our voices heard? The Positive Impact Rating is led by students and is for students. So, we have a unique chance to tell Deakin what it should start, stop, and continue doing to provide management education that results in a positive impact for the world.
We need just five minutes of your time to complete this survey.
If you have any questions about taking the survey, or you want to join our cause and spread the word, contact us via [email protected] or [email protected].
Thanks for your participation and support – together we can bring student-led change!
Are you a high-achieving Business student? Join our Beta Alpha Psi chapter
Deakin Business School’s Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) chapter, Xi Kappa, is looking for high-achieving, dedicated and engaged students studying accounting, finance, business analytics or information systems to join their chapter for 2022.
BAP is an internationally recognised honour society with a focus on professional development for high-achieving students pursuing a career in the above-mentioned disciplines. Founded in the US in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi currently boasts over 300 chapters and 300,000 members worldwide and Deakin is one of nine universities in Australia to host a chapter.
Bapdeakin recently achieved success in the first round of the BAP Inclusive Leadership Award, sponsored by Ernst & Young. The team developed a proposal outlining how they will enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion for their members by acting as inclusive leaders and rolling out strategic events for 2022, including:
- an inclusive leadership workshop
- a mock boardroom event focusing on the benefits of equity and inclusion in the workplace
- Zoom webinars featuring guest speakers from leading organisations in the financial industry.
This entry was selected with students being awarded funding to continue implementing their proposal; they are now eligible to be considered for final awards and could win their share of more than $8000! By joining, you too could take part in such events as well as other professional development and social events held by BAP in 2022. Apply to join BAP now!
