The polls for the 2021 DUSA Student Elections are now open – cast your vote now!
It’s time to make your voice heard! Polling for the annual Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) Student Elections opened this week on Monday 30 August. Applications for postal votes closed on 13 August, so if you applied for and have received your postal vote, you can cast your vote now.
Postal voting closes on 17 September.

Everything we do at DUSA is to create the very best possible student experience for you! As a DUSA member, your vote highlights your ability to create a positive change at the University.
‘We do a lot to advocate for students and ensure your time at university is a smooth journey,’ says current DUSA President Emily Sagolj. ‘Even if you don’t know anyone running for a position, check out who is running and use your vote to support the platforms you’re passionate about DUSA pursuing.’
DUSA’s organisational structure comprises a President and Student Council Representatives, who are actively involved with the University on all matters that affect students, including:
- organising campaigns on important issues
- addressing social issues
- negotiating with senior University staff
- organising social events
- leading university sports teams, and helping to foster clubs and societies.

Cast your vote now!
Due to current COVID restrictions, the 2021 DUSA Student Elections are being conducted via postal vote for all campuses (Burwood, Geelong, Cloud and Warrnambool) across three weeks, commencing from 9am on Monday 30 August through to 4pm on Friday 17 September 2021.
Please note polling for Queer Representatives will be held online. Registrations to participate in the election of Queer Representatives opened on Monday 2 August and will close at 5pm on Thursday 16 September 2021. Register now to participate in the Queer Representatives online election.
