We’re replacing the roof on Building D at Waterfront Campus
You may have noticed the current construction works to Building D at Waterfront Campus. This is being undertaken to replace the roof and improve safety, and works will include re-sheeting the roof, replacing guttering, and the installation of new service access walkways and fall protection measures.
Please note the following changes to access and move with caution through the area.
- To carry out these works, a bubble crane and scaffolding will be positioned in the area leading into the courtyard on the Brougham Street side of campus, adjacent to Costa Hall. The crane will be operating to transport materials and tradespeople on and off the roof and will be enclosed by temporary fencing for safety reasons.
- Access to campus from the Brougham Street stairs and the loading bay will be closed while we are working in the area, please utilise alternative access to campus via Gheringhap Street, Cunningham Street or Western Beach Road.
Works are due for completion by mid-September. Until then, you may notice some intermittent noise impacts, including banging and drilling, some vehicle safety beeping, and tradespeople moving through the area and working on the roof.
If you are attending nearby, please watch your step, look out for safety signage and proceed carefully to ensure your safety.
