Muhammad Shaharyar

PhD Candidate

Muhammad Shaharyar, or more commonly known as Sherry, holds a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. He completed his master’s degree under the European Joint Master’s Degree Program, Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion (MESC). He was awarded with the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship, allowing him to study and travel in multiple countries across Europe (France, Poland, Belgium). He worked in Umicore for a year working on commercial production of silicon-based anode material. He also holds an experience of two years working as a technical support specialist in Western Union (US) and Time Clock Plus (US).

 

Post covid, he joined Deakin University under the supervision of Prof. Jenny Pringle and is working on gas separation using membranes based on organic ionic plastic crystals (OIPC).
