29 March 2021

Have you got your Deakin Card yet?

Your Deakin Card is your official student ID, so you should have it with you whenever you’re on campus. You’ll also need it if you have to attend any venue-based exams, to borrow books from the Deakin Library or print material, or if you need to access buildings for after-hours study.

If you haven’t got yours yet, here’s how.

How to order your Deakin Card

You can get your Deakin Card any time after you’ve enrolled in StudentConnect by:

When you order online, you can opt to either collect your card in person at one of our Student Central Hubs or have it posted to you. If you select the mail option, you’ll receive your card via Australia Post. We’ll notify you through our online enquiry system when you can expect to receive it – at the moment, this will probably take around two weeks (or four weeks if you’re overseas).

Go cashless on campus

This must-have item can also be used for a range of other things, including to:

Top up your card

The easiest way to add money to your Deakin Card is online – any money you add will appear instantly on your card. Parents, guardians and friends can even add money to your Deakin Card online if they know your student number. You can also add money to your card at select DUSA outlets.

Use Deakin Dollars

If you’re lucky enough to receive a scholarship, award or prize, you can elect to have the funds added to your Deakin Card as Deakin Dollars. You can use Deakin Dollars at any retail outlet on campus or for printing.
