Library Basics Part 2: Finding information

Are you in your first trimester at Deakin or returning to study after a break? We’ve got you covered. Each week, we’re sharing a library tip, tool or service we think you should know about. The library is key to your success at  uni – make the most of everything we have to offer by following our Library Basics!

Other Library Basics blogs:

The library’s large collection of books, journals, articles, streaming videos and more will be essential to your studies. Check out the Information Sources tutorial to learn more about what’s available.

The best place to start: our carefully developed Resource Guides. Put together based on subject area, they provide a gateway to your major information resources, including scholarly databases (they’re the ones that contain journal articles), video databases and other learning tools.

Bookmark your Guide for easy access whenever you need it!

Still unsure about which resource to use for a certain task? You can ask your librarian for help or use the ‘Ask a Librarian’ discussion board if one has been set up for your unit’s CloudDeakin site.
