What does being a Study Geelong Ambassador involve?
Study Geelong is a partnership between Tourism Greater Geelong and the Bellarine and education institutions in the Geelong region, including Deakin.
As a Study Geelong Ambassador, you will help welcome international students to Geelong, and help them integrate into the community and make the most of their time in Australia. As part of the program, you will:
- be responsible for promoting Geelong as a friendly place to learn, live and explore
- use primarily social media and written or video blogs to tell the story of what it’s like to be a student in the Geelong region
- receive free professional development training in areas such as public speaking, leadership, networking and creating content for social media
- help plan, promote and implement Study Geelong activities, and represent Study Geelong at functions and events.

Am I eligible to apply for the program?
The Study Geelong Ambassador program is open to both local and international students, including recent graduates.
