Jodi McAlister – Grant Win – Romancing the Philippines

Congrats to staff member Jodi McAlister! Along with research partner Claire Parnell (University of Melbourne), Jodi has been awarded the 2019 Romance Writers of America academic grant for their project ‘#RomanceClass: Mapping the Genre World of English-Language Romance in the Philippines.’ Jodi and Claire will to conduct author interviews and other fieldwork in 2019.

The RWA’s annual grants program seeks to develop and support academic research devoted to genre romance novels, writers, and readers.
