Writing and Literature staff teach a wide array of subjects at undergraduate level. Students enrolled in Deakin’s Bachelor of Arts can choose to major in Children’s Literature, Creative Writing, Literary Studies and Gender and Sexuality Studies majors.

Deakin’s Creative Writing and Literary Studies program, part of the School of Communication and Creative Arts (SCCA), offers an exciting range of postgraduate study options.

Postgraduate coursework

…offerings include the Graduate Certificate of Writing and Literature, the Graduate Diploma of Literary Studies, the Graduate Diploma of Creative Writing, the Graduate Diploma of Children’s Literature, and the Master of Arts (Writing and Literature). Students enrolled in these degrees take part in a guided course of lectures, tutorials and seminars, with flexibility in choice of units and on/off-campus enrolment.
