Design the 2024 Deakin Alumni Awards trophy and win $2000!
Each year, a small number of past students (alumni) are recognised for their contributions to their chosen profession, their community and our University through the Deakin Alumni Awards.
As part of this honour, each winner receives a custom-made trophy that represents the alumni journey to achieve outstanding success. This trophy is a piece of artwork in itself – and now you have a chance to design the 2024 version!
How it works
Working individually or in a team, you’ll conceptualise and design a trophy that can be manufactured, either as conceived or with some modifications. You’ll be judged on criteria including colours, materials and symbolism.
Your design needs to include space for the Deakin logo and an inscription. You also need to submit a short video of up to 30 seconds that explains the significance of your design (this can be done in any creative way you like)!
This student competition is a unique opportunity to express your creativity. You’ll receive a payment of $2000 (total prize pool) for the release of your design and accompanying video, and you may also be interviewed on camera to talk about your work.
