Ask a Success Coach if you have any questions about starting your online studies!

As a new student studying online at Deakin, you’ll be assigned a Success Coach when you begin this study period.

Your Success Coach is your very own mentor who will help you to get the most out of your time at Deakin. They are a student from your faculty who will introduce you to studying online.

‘The safest way to ensure success in online learning is self-discipline and time management. Each unit studied, on average, requires 10 hours of study time on top of seminars and classes per week. Accepting this commitment is the first step in becoming a successful student,’ says Success Coach Karuna Santosa, ‘it is a big ask, but in the long run, it is worth it, if you want to do your best in your studies.’

To help get you started on your uni journey, join our upcoming orientation session to meet and talk with some of our Success Coaches as well as other students. You’ll be able to ask them any questions you may have and hear about their experiences with online study, including their tips on topics such as staying motivated, work/study/life balance, connecting with peers, and time management.
