Coming Monday 6 June: Library website homepage changes
We’re pleased to advise that the library website homepage will see some long-awaited updates on Monday 6 June.
What’s changing?
Aside from a Deakin digital brand refresh, the key changes to note are:
- Quick linking to our most popular databases. Students have long asked for this feature, and we’re finally able to deliver direct linking into those top databases
- Greater access into help and support content, including:
- the inclusion of a ‘search tips’ link to help you make the most out of your resource searches,
- more direct and explanatory linking to our help and contact content,
- links to specialised support for students with particular needs, and
- embedded informational and instructional videos.
We hope with these changes you’ll find getting the help you need easier from our new homepage.
When will the changes happen?
The homepage will be refreshed on Monday 6 June. Note that we may experience intermittent ‘downtime’ for the homepage between 6am and 6.30am while the changes roll out.
Please note that there may be some website caching issues for up to 24 hours following the launch of the new homepage.

Note there will be a couple of minor tweaks to the prototypes based on recent feedback.
A note on interacting with the prototype
The prototype is built in a tool called Figma, which may be unfamiliar to you but we hope is quite intuitive. If you’ve any challenges or questions interacting with the prototype, don’t hesitate to contact us.
