Slow Canoe – LOVE & HATE – Chapbook Launch

To celebrate the launch of the Dear Canoe chapbook, staff, students and alumni from the Writing and Literature Group recently took part in “Love and Hate”, a summer evening of readings, music and film hosted by the Slow Canoe collective on 1 February.

Chapbook contributors who read on the night included senior lecturer Antonia Pont, sessional lecturer Matt Hall, and Deakin alumni Tom Doig and Melinda Bufton, with Deakin students cheering them on from the audience.

The Dear Canoe chapbook features pieces by 30 writers, including Deakin’s Cassandra Atherton, plus Cate Kennedy, Laura Jean McKay, Dion Kagan, Estelle Tang and SJ Finn.
