Maria Takolander Signs with UQP – Poetry: Trigger Warning

Associate Professor Maria Takolander is thrilled to have signed with UQP, who will publish her next collection of poems, Trigger Warning. Congrats, Maria!

In other exciting news, Maria’s poetry (along with that of Tomas Tranströmer, Robin Robertson, WB Yeats and others) has also been set by award-winning composer and broadcaster Andrew Ford in a new Australia Council-supported song cycle, Nature. The piece will have its first performance in Stockholm in September, followed by an Australian premier in Sydney. The Swedish premier will be sung by Karin Lovelius, and the Sydney performance by mezzo-soprano Jenny Duck-Chong with her ensemble Halcyon.
