Dr Karen Le Rossignol is a Senior Lecturer in Professional and Creative Writing. She has developed and researched digital storyworlds that extend the narrative possibilities of virtual scenarios as an educational tool, and has been nationally acknowledged for her work in this area. Karen is a longstanding member of the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee, and has expertise in educational resourcing, with 15 published texts. Most recently she has published work on the business–creative nexus of artistic practice, and exploring associational narrative within creative nonfiction writing.
Karen’s current areas of research and supervision include: creating digital narrative and scripting for games; memoir/lyric/personal essays and creative nonfiction; digital anthologies and editing roles and responsibilities; extended creative writing research studio and projects; and industry linkages incorporating creative projects. Karen chairs the Verandah Board, which oversees the yearly undergraduate editorial team producing the journal Verandah.
