Jo Langdon
Jo teaches into units in literary studies, creative writing, and children’s literature. Her scholarship, published in journals such as Critique (US) and Current Narratives, has focused on magical realism, trauma, and elegy.
Jo is the author of two poetry collections, Snowline (Whitmore Press, 2012) and Glass Life (Five Islands Press, 2018). In 2018 she was a writing fellow of the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation’s Sozopol Fiction Seminars. Her prose fiction placed in the 2020 Newcastle and Olga Masters Short Story Awards, and she was the inaugural winner of the Rachel Funari Prize for Fiction.
Jo’s poetry, fiction, essays and reviews also appear in publications such as Antipodes, Australian Book Review, Best Australian Poems (Black Inc.), Contemporary Australian Feminist Poetry (Hunter), Cordite Poetry Review, In Your Hands (Red Room), Island, Mascara Literary Review, Ninth Letter (US), Overland, Rabbit, Reading Victoria, Southerly, Sydney Review of Books and Westerly.
