Gregory Day – 2019 Miles Franklin Award – Longlisted Author

Three cheers for author and PhD graduate Gregory Day, who has been longlisted for Australia’s preeminent literary prize, the Miles Franklin Literary Award, for his recent novel A Sand Archive.

Now tutoring in “Experimental Writing Lab” and “Vision and Revision: Short Stories Now”, Gregory was the first candidate to graduate through Deakin’s new PhD by Prior Publication program. His PhD thesis, which curated work from previous novels and presented an original exegesis reflecting on that work, won the Alfred Deakin Medal in 2018.
