Callout: Secondary School Writing Prize – Queenscliffe Lit Fest – Due 30 April

A great opportunity for young writers: Victorian high school students of all year levels are invited to share their best piece of writing (fiction, non-fiction or poetry) with the judges of the 2019 Queenscliffe Literary Festival Secondary School Writing Prize (sponsored by the School of Communication and Creative Arts at Deakin University).

The winner and two runners-up will be recognised at the closing night event of the Queenscliffe Literary Festival (featuring Helen Garner), and will be treated to a workshop with performance poet extraordinaire Emilie Zoey Baker, with both events taking place on Sunday 26 May 2019.

Students should email their best piece of writing, up to 1000 words (maximum), to qlfwritingprize [at] gmail.com by 30 April 2019, including their full name, school name, address and phone number.

Teachers and school librarians are invited to help spread the word!
