Outlaw Genres: Que(e)rying Testimony through Border-trafficking

This paper will look at poetic practices of the fragment as post-traumatic testimony from Ingeborg Bachmann, through Quinn Eades & Ania Walwicz, and which inform to a degree Marion’s forthcoming memoir, The Man on the Mantelpiece (UWAP November 2018).

Presenter Biography

Marion May Campbell’s recent books include the novella konkretion, (UWAP, 2013) and the monograph Poetic Revolutionaries: Intertextuality & Subversion (Rodopi, 2014). Her poetry collection third body appears with Whitford Press in October 2018, and The Man on the Mantelpiece: a Memoir appears with UWAP this November. Her novels have been shortlisted for major Australian awards, with Not being Miriam (FACP, 1988; 1992) winning the 1989 WA Literary Week Award for Fiction, and Fragments from a Paper Witch (Salt 2008) a finalist for the Innovations category in the 2010 Adelaide Festival Literary Awards. As Associate Professor in Writing and Literature, she supervises graduate writing projects at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia.
