DVCR Certification of Not Deakin led ARC applications

Re: Process for DVCR certification of Not Deakin Led ARC applications (Discovery and Linkage Projects)

Dear Colleagues,

Collaboration with researchers at other institutions is a key feature of a robust and successful research eco-system and we strongly encourage our researchers to develop strong and effective such collaborations.

We also want to encourage our researchers to ensure that they seek appropriate support to enable them to carry out their role in any proposed research project, to be led at another institution.

We ask that when researcher submit their certification form for such externally led proposals, that they provide brief additional information (as per the attached form: 200204 FINAL Not DU Led ARC form for DVCR certification) outlining:

• Deakin University CI time commitment and role,
• the funds that will flow to Deakin University (if successful and full funding is received)
• any cash contribution that the School, Faculty, SRC or Institute is providing and
• a brief justification of the benefit of participation to Deakin University and the researcher (some examples will be provided).

This will greatly assist us on understanding what we are committing to overall as an institution.

Process for ARC Certification:

The process for seeking DVCR certification will be modified slightly.  The summary information form should be submitted together with the certification form and a copy of the final or penultimate application for sign off by the DVCR.  This should be sent to [email protected]
