Dr Mary Iliadis and Dr Bridget Harris (Queensland University of Technology) have published a QUT Briefing Paper: “Body-worn Cameras and Domestic and Family Violence: Critical Reflections” as part of the Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month. The paper can be accessed here. This paper forms part of their ongoing work funded research through the Criminology Research Council with colleagues Asher Flynn (Monash), Zarina Vakhitova (Monash) and Danielle Tyson (Deakin).

Prof Fethi Mansouri published an article in the Journal of International Migration and Integration with Andre M.N. Renzaho, Victor Counted and Michael Polonsky:

Dr Marian Abouzeid has a recent publication (available here) that she co-authored with colleagues from the Lancet- American University of Beirut Commission on Syria: Policies on return and reintegration of displaced healthcare workers towards rebuilding conflict-affected health systems: a review for The Lancet-AUB Commission on Syria.

An April issue of the journal Thesis Eleven featuring contributions by ADI and Arts & Education Faculty members is now out: Philosophy and the Far Right. The collection was edited by A/Prof Matthew Sharpe and brings together papers presented at two events hosted by the Alfred Deakin Institute, including papers by Dr Matteo Vergani, Dr Maria Rae, Dr Imogen Richards, and A/Prof Matthew Sharpe and A/Prof Geoff Boucher, alongside contributions from international colleagues.

Dr Earvin Charles Cabalquinto was recently invited to present a paper entitled “Postcolonial baiting: Extracting value through the spectacle of care in a platform society” in the Digital Cultures of Care Webinar at Swinburne University of Technology.

Dr Earvin Charles Cabalquinto published a paper entitled, “Telecocooning in the age of (im)mobility” as part of the Special Forum on COVID-19: Academic Life in the Pandemic in Communication, Culture and Critique.

A/Prof Matthew Sharpe‘s article “Capitalism and the Far Right: Revisiting the Pollock-Neumann Debate in the Era of Authoritarian Ethnonationalism” has been accepted for publication in a special edition of Q1 journal, Philosophy and Public Affairs on capitalism and the return of the far right.
