ARC LIEF 2021 Grants- call for NOIS – forms due by 19 November
Dear All,
We are now calling for NOIS for both Deakin-led proposals and non-Deakin-led ARC Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities (LIEF) 2021 proposals.
Please complete the attached NOIS template – LE21 NOIS form and return the form to [email protected] by Tuesday 19th November 2019.
The LIEF 2021 Grant Guidelines have not yet been released, however please continue to regularly check our own internal LIEF webpage which we will update once the ARC have released any further information. The NOIS form can also be downloaded from this site.
Applicants are required to liaise with their Associate Dean (Research)/Institute Director and School/SRC in preparing their NOIS to ensure internal review/support and to avoid duplication of requests for equipment. Where areas are pledging cash contributions in support of a LIEF proposal the Deakin Research Office will require lead investigators to send us a copy of correspondence confirming the areas cash commitment to the project.
Applicants need to think strategically when planning a LIEF bid, and ensure their bid is in alignment with the strategic priorities of the University and the relevant research areas. We strongly encourage applicants to work across Faculties/Institutes where possible to ensure the LIEF bid supports all appropriate research areas of the University.
We will contact all lead CIs who submit LIEF 2021 NOIS to discuss the next steps, including processes relating to Deakin cash contributions. It is important that the NOIS form is completed in full as this captures information relating to the total value of the bid and the expected level of funds requested from the ARC. This information is required to assist in determining the Deakin cash contribution.
