Meet your library before the trimester kicks off

Are you ready for International Student Welcome Week and Orientation Week at Deakin? Deakin Library offers advice on research and citation, quiet places to study and collaborate, access to over a million resources, specialty guidance from Liaison Librarians, a live Library Chat service and much more. Several of our campus libraries allow 24-hour access to all or part of the building, giving you a safe place to study any time of the day or night.

The library will be a key partner in your success while you study at Deakin. We can’t wait to meet you at one of our upcoming events!

Meet your library online

The Discover your Library video shows you how to navigate your library in your student portal, DeakinSync. You’ll find out how to view library hours, book a study space, search our databases, manage your loans and more.

O-Week tutorials

You can also get a live online tutorial on how to navigate the library by attending a UniStart – Discover Your Library session. This 30-minute seminar will give you the skills you need to:

Join from the comfort of your own home or a cosy booth at one of our campus libraries! Just visit this link at one of the session times below:

Meet your library in person

We’ll be at the International Student Welcome Community Fair at both Burwood Campus (Monday 18 February) and Waurn Ponds Campus (Tuesday 19 February), as well as Cloud Campus Welcome Day (Saturday 2 March), answering your questions in the stall and providing tours at the library.

You can also drop in for a tour at any one of our campus libraries during O-Week (Monday 25 February–Friday 1 March) from 9.30am–4.30pm. These casual tours are a great way to meet some of the staff at the library, check out the best study spaces and grab a bookmark. Even if your studies will be in the Cloud, if you live near a Deakin campus, you are more than welcome to use any of our libraries and come for a tour.
