How to book an appointment with library staff
Need help with a research question or finding information resources for your assessments? Not sure how to navigate the library website or find what you need on campus? There are many reasons you might want assistance from the library, and we have made it easier than ever to get the help you need.
If you’re looking for a quick answer to a question, the fastest way to get in touch with us is through Library Chat. But if you have a more in-depth query or would like to set aside some one-on-one time with one of our expert librarians, we have recently made it possible to book an appointment with library staff – either in person (health restrictions permitting) or via video chat.
Each faculty has several dedicated Liaison Librarians who specialise in specific subject areas. These librarians can play an invaluable role in your success at Deakin. After you complete the appointment booking form, one of the librarians most suited to your area of study will get in touch to assist you with your query or book a time to talk with you one on one. Too easy!
Some things our librarians can help you with include:
- getting started using the library
- looking for topic information
- research assistance
- finding resources for your course
- navigating EndNote
- finding and using e-books.
If you need personalised help from one of our librarians with one of the items above or something else library-related, don’t hesitate to book an appointment. We can often get something set up in as little as two days. Our staff look forward to working with you!
