Food free spaces in the Library during Ramadan
We want the library to be a welcoming space for all our students to study. During Ramadan, we know that students who are fasting may prefer to have a space away from others who are eating or drinking.
That is why we are making certain areas of each campus library food free zones from Wednesday 22 March until Thursday 20 April. Everyone is welcome to use these spaces (just leave your food and drink at home!)
- Burwood: Yeagak, V2.51
- Waterfront:
- Group Room 7, D3.121
- Ngal, 6 D3.121
- D3.Booth A7
- D3.Booth A8
- Waurn Ponds: Level 1
- Warrnambool: Level 2, South side. Grey green booths.
You can also look for these signs – they will be placed around the spaces during this period.
Book a space
Some of the designated food free areas at the Waterfront and Waurn Ponds campuses are bookable via the Library website. If you want to take advantage of these food free areas for a study session, you might like to book a space in advance.
To do this, just:
- Visit the Library ‘Book a space’ page
- Select your campus
- Find the room or desk in the list
- Select the time you want to book it for and submit
