A+B research Dr Astrid Roetzel has become an official participant in the Annex 66 Project “Definition and Simulation of Occupant Behaviour in Buildings” under the framework of the Energy in Buildings and Communities Programme of the International Energy Agency IEA in Paris. This Programme carries out research and development activities toward near-zero energy and carbon emissions in the built environment. These joint research projects are directed at energy saving technologies and activities that support technology application in practice. Results are also used in the formulation of international and national energy conservation policies and standards.

Astrid has been a participant in the project since its start in 2014 but now that the participation is formalised the School now has a presence with the International Energy Agency IEA in Paris and the National International Energy Agency IEA representative in Australia as well as formalised collaboration with the Annex 66 operating agents at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Tsinghua University as well as other institutions in the 16 participating countries.
