This Tuesday, Kim Irons, Principal and founder of Irons McDuff Architecture, will be presenting a Real Lecture titled: ‘People, Place and Pennies’ – a lecture focused on the contribution of private buildings in the community, through social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Kim Irons founded Irons McDuff Architecture in 2006. With over 25 years of experience, Kim has worked both locally and internationally, including time at the OVGA, and is a member of the Victorian Chapter Council and various design review panels. The work at Irons McDuff is primarily residential, ranging from small alterations to new builds, as well as commercial community projects. “We believe through discourse and re-interpretation of existing site and context, possibilities for renewal provide an opportunity for all architecture and environs to co-exist in the context of the living present. Therefore each project is approached in a logical problem solving technique to incorporate all aspects of site, context, environment, economics, needs and desires”. Kim’s lecture will discuss past and current projects in reference to the underlying question, how can architecture support a more connected society and better outcomes for the public realm?
