Students as Partners at Deakin

Supported by the Office of the Dean of Students

Welcome to Students as Partners

Supported through the Office of the Dean of Students, Students as Partners (SaP) at Deakin University is a centrally run suite of programs designed to support all of our students and staff to experience and engage in meaningful and effective partnership.

We conceptualise Students as Partners at Deakin as opportunities that embed five principles:

  1. Reciprocal learning between students and staff
  2. Recognition of students’ expertise in their lived experiences
  3. Shared responsibility across stakeholders
  4. Supporting respect and transparency
  5. Repositioning students from users to our co-creators
