Staff success and publications: Mat Hardy – Fulbright Scholar, Mary Iliadis

Mat Hardy

Mat Hardy from SHSS has been made a 2021 Fulbright Scholar. Mat’s Fulbright project will build on over 10 years of practice and research into online simulations for delivering Political Science teaching.  Mat will be based in Albany, NY and be working with American colleagues to develop best practice guidelines for designing online role plays, with a specific focus on how to mitigate gender and other inherent biases in assessing these activities. The project seeks to capitalise on the post-COVID higher education environment with a view to using online delivery to improve rather than just mitigate teaching and learning.
