Dr Enqi Weng and Prof Fethi Mansouri published a new article: ‘Swamped by Muslims’ and facing an ‘African gang’ problem: racialized and religious media representations in Australia in Continuum, the Journal of Media and Cultural Studies.
On 2 March Dr Catherine Legg delivered a talk to the International Centre for Enactivism and Cognitive Semiotics (based at University of Bologna) on how to use Charles Peirce’s semiotics in cognitive science. A recording is available here.
Dr Thao Phan is an invited speaker for the symposium Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience 5 year Anniversary event ‘Foundations and Futures of Feminist Technosciences’. Rebecca Buys and A/Prof Vince Marotta published a new article: Relational Theories of Encounters and the Relational Subject, Journal of Intercultural Studies, 42:1, 99-113. Free prints are available. The paper is part of a special issue that Vince Marotta edited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Sara Ahmed’s Strange Encounters.
