Farewell Steven Lewis and Jessica Holloway, 18 March, 4pm

Farewell Steven Lewis and Jessica Holloway
4.00 pm Thursday 18 March, via Zoom

Please join us in farewelling our DECRA Research Fellows Dr Steven Lewis and Dr Jessica Holloway, who are sadly leaving Deakin University for a move north to sunny Queensland.

Steven made the move south to join the REDI team as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow after completing his PhD in his native Queensland in 2016, before achieving success in 2019 with his DECRA application for the project ‘Globalising School Reform Through Online Teacher Professional Learning’. This project is helping develop the use of topological- and mobility-informed thinking to generate novel approaches to the study of global educational policymaking and governance

Jessica has also been a highly-valued member of REDI since 2016, when she commenced her postdoctoral fellowship on the project ‘Teacher Leaders and Democracy: An International Study’, which looked at modes of distributive leadership in U.S. and Australian schools. She has also worked closely with Professor Amanda Keddie on a project related to autonomous schooling in Australia, and like Steven, has made many new friends in REDI and the School of Education along the way.

Please join us in saying farewell, thanking both Steven and Jessica for their wonderful work, and wishing them every success as they make the transition to the next phase of their lives and respective careers.

Join via Zoom – 4.00 pm Thursday 18 March

Kind regards,

Julianne Moss
